8 For the choir director: a psalm of David, to be accompanied by a stringed instrument.
1 O LORD, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth! Your glory is higher than the heavens.
2 You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing your enemies and all who oppose you.
3 When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers---the moon and the stars you set in place----
4 what are mere mortals that you should think about them, humans beings that you care for them?
5 Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor.
6 You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority----
7 the flocks and the herds and all the wild animals,
8 the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that swims the ocean currents.
9 O LORD, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth.
CONNECTION POINTS
8:1-9 The Pinnacle of God's Creation Made "in the image of God' (Genesis 1:27), human beings are at the apex of God's creation---" wonderfully complex.... marvelous" beings (Psalm 139:14) who bear great responsibility toward one another and all of creation. When we fulfill these responsibilities, we bring glory and honor to God; when we don't, suffering often ensues.
This has to do with God and his promises in my life and marriage. Also has to do with my blood relatives being they are my parents, nieces, nephews, their children that are of my side of the family or my wife's side of the family; my wife and I that includes her parents, her uncles and aunts and cousins as well as my uncles, aunts, and cousins. Also this list has to do with my Brothers And Sisters In Christ here at Kingdom Life in Muskegon, Michigan and all around the world .
